Hyperliquid Strategies posts $305 million profit as HYPE hits record high

The company increased its treasury to 29.3 million HYPE as its shares surged more than 20% on the day and over 123% since early August.

Hyperliquid Strategies reported $305.5 million in net income for its fiscal year ended June 30 as the company more than doubled its HYPE treasury and expanded its exposure to the Hyperliquid ecosystem.

The earnings come as HYPE trades near record levels following a sharp rally across crypto markets. The token reached a new all-time high above $85 earlier today and has gained roughly 52% over the past 30 days and more than 220% year to date.

Hyperliquid Strategies shares have also rallied sharply, surging more than 20% on the day and over 123% since early August.

The company increased its treasury from 12.5 million HYPE to 29.3 million tokens during the fiscal year. At the end of June, the holdings were valued at about $1.9 billion based on a HYPE price of $65.04.

Hyperliquid Strategies reported $9.5 million in staking revenue and validator commissions alongside $2.7 million in interest income. Its net income was driven largely by $709.9 million in unrealized gains on its HYPE holdings.

The company ended June with $2.06 billion in total assets, $149.9 million in cash and cash-like instruments and no debt.

As of Aug. 19, Hyperliquid Strategies had deployed $773.4 million to acquire roughly 16.5 million HYPE at an average price of $46.77. It also spent $27.8 million repurchasing approximately 5.8 million PURR shares.

The company raised $646.6 million through its committed equity facility at an average price of $8.70 per share and had $132.6 million in cash remaining as of Aug. 19.

Hyperliquid has continued expanding its share of onchain derivatives trading. The network accounted for about 63% of decentralized perpetual futures open interest as of Aug. 23, while total open interest reached a record of roughly $13 billion, according to the company.

Hyperliquid Strategies said approximately $945 million in value accrued to the Hyperliquid ecosystem during the 12 months through June, with much of the protocol’s fee generation flowing toward programmatic HYPE buybacks.
