LimX Dynamics joins Chinese robotics IPO wave with Hong Kong filing
The company raised $200 million in July in a pre-IPO financing round that valued LimX Dynamics at 15 billion yuan, or about $2.2 billion.
LimX Dynamics is preparing for a Hong Kong stock listing after confidentially filing for an IPO that could raise several hundred million dollars, according to Bloomberg, joining a wave of Chinese robotics companies heading toward public markets.
The Shenzhen-based startup has reportedly hired Citic Securities to work on the offering. The deal remains under discussion, and its size and timing could still change. The company’s CFO, Jesse Liu, said previously that LimX Dynamics was working toward an IPO but declined to provide additional details.
Founded in 2022, LimX Dynamics develops humanoid robots designed for use in households, factories, research environments and commercial locations. Its shareholder base includes Alibaba, JD.com and IDG Capital, reflecting strong backing from China’s technology and venture-investment sectors.
