About BRLA Digital BRLA
BRLA Digital BRLA is a fiat-backed stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the Brazilian real, issued on public blockchains for payments, cross-border settlement, treasury management, and local-currency DeFi. It is issued and managed by Avenia, formerly known as BRLA Digital, a São Paulo-based company. BRLA is deployed as an ERC-20-style token on multiple EVM-compatible networks, including Polygon, Gnosis, Celo, Moonbeam, Base, and Ethereum. Trading on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM began in May 2026. The token does not use a proprietary consensus mechanism and instead relies on the proof-of-stake consensus of each underlying chain on which it is issued. The BRLA token is a tokenized representation of the Brazilian real, used for on-chain payments, settlement, on- and off-ramping between bank rails and crypto, and participation in local-currency DeFi applications. It is not used for staking or governance. New tokens are minted when users deposit Brazilian reais and complete KYC verification, and tokens are burned upon redemption. This gives BRLA an uncapped but fully collateralized and demand-driven supply. BRLA is a regulated, asset-backed digital currency that brings Brazilian real liquidity to on-chain financial applications.
