About KLA Corporation

KLA Corporation is a U.S.-based manufacturer of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment, specializing in process control and yield management systems for the semiconductor and nanoelectronics industries. The company originated as KLA Instruments, founded in 1975 in Silicon Valley by Kenneth Levy and Robert Anderson. Its current form came from the 1997 merger of KLA and Tencor, creating KLA-Tencor Corporation, which was renamed KLA Corporation in July 2019. The company trades on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol KLAC and is a constituent of both the Nasdaq-100 and S&P 500 indices. KLA operates through three business segments: Semiconductor Process Control, Specialty Semiconductor Process, and PCB and Component Inspection. Its products include wafer and reticle inspection systems, metrology tools, process analytics software, and PCB and display inspection systems used in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. KLA is one of the largest suppliers of process control equipment to the global semiconductor industry.
