About Ondo
Ondo brings traditional financial assets onto blockchains, focusing on real-world assets such as U.S. Treasuries and other institutional products. Its ONDO token is used mainly for governance across the Ondo ecosystem and its decentralized organization. Ondo Finance was founded in 2021 by former members of Goldman Sachs's digital assets team, including Nathan Allman and Pinku Surana, and the token launched in January 2024. ONDO is an ERC-20 token, so it has no consensus of its own, though the broader ecosystem includes a separate proof of stake chain called Ondo Chain. The token has a fixed maximum supply of 10 billion, with no planned inflation.
