About Shiba Inu
Shiba Inu is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token that began as a meme coin and later grew into a wider set of applications and finance tools. People use it for trading, staking, decentralized finance, and NFTs, including through its own ShibaSwap exchange, and it is accepted by some merchants. An anonymous person or group known as Ryoshi created it and launched it in August 2020. Because SHIB is a token on Ethereum, it has no consensus of its own and relies on Ethereum's proof of stake network. It launched with a supply of one quadrillion tokens and was built with deflationary tokenomics, and later burns have cut the circulating amount well below that.
