NG CASH raises $15M led by Blockchain Capital to expand credit and crypto services in Brazil

The Brazilian Gen Z fintech now has over $65 million in total funding and is chasing a VASP license to offer digital asset services to its 10 million users.

NG.CASH, the Brazilian fintech that started life as a YouTube channel, just locked down $15 million in strategic funding led by Blockchain Capital. The round, which closed on September 23, brings the company’s total haul to more than $65 million since it launched in 2021.

The money will fuel two priorities: scaling NG.CASH’s consumer credit products and laying the groundwork for digital asset services in Latin America’s largest economy.

From YouTube to fintech heavyweight

NG.CASH’s origin story is unusual even by startup standards. The platform grew out of a YouTube channel that now has roughly 20 million subscribers, double the approximately 10 million it had when the company was founded. That built-in distribution channel gave NG.CASH something most fintechs spend years and millions trying to manufacture: a massive, engaged audience of young Brazilians who already trusted the brand.

Based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the company has since evolved into a full digital financial platform. It offers accounts, prepaid cards, Pix payments, and savings products alongside an expanding suite of credit tools. Two products in particular, Crédito CLT and Pix Crédito, are central to the expansion plan funded by this latest round.

A $26.5 million Series B closed in mid-2025 with New Enterprise Associates leading and Monashees and Andreessen Horowitz participating. That round brought cumulative funding to around $51 million before the Blockchain Capital-led raise pushed the total past $65 million.

NG.CASH has set an ambitious target: BRL 1 billion, or nearly $200 million, in credit originations by 2027. The company says it has already processed billions of dollars in transactions, though the precise figure remains undisclosed.

The crypto play

Blockchain Capital’s involvement isn’t just a branding exercise. NG.CASH is actively pursuing a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from Brazil’s Central Bank, which would allow it to offer regulated crypto services to its user base. The company already holds two regulatory licenses from the central bank: one as a payment institution and another as a direct credit society.

Adding a VASP license would position NG.CASH as one of the few Brazilian fintechs with a full regulatory trifecta covering payments, credit, and digital assets. Blockchain Capital is a San Francisco-based firm and one of the oldest and most recognized crypto-focused venture funds in the world.
