Nvidia’s data center revenue reaches $62.3B, outpacing rivals
The GPU giant's AI-fueled data center business has grown roughly 13 times since ChatGPT launched, and crypto miners are catching a tailwind.
Nvidia just posted $62.3 billion in data center revenue for its fiscal fourth quarter of 2026. That single segment, in a single quarter, outpaced the combined data center revenue of its competitors.
Nvidia’s data center business has scaled roughly 13 times since ChatGPT first entered the cultural lexicon.
The numbers behind the dominance
The $62.3 billion data center figure represents a 75% jump year-over-year and a 22% increase from the prior quarter. It accounted for the vast majority of Nvidia’s total quarterly revenue of $68.1 billion, which itself grew 73% compared to the same period last year.
For the full fiscal year 2026, Nvidia’s data center revenue hit $193.7 billion, a 68% climb from the prior year. That full-year data center number alone eclipses the total annual revenue Nvidia generated across all business lines in earlier fiscal years.
Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Meta accounted for roughly half of recent data center sales. The other half came from a growing cohort of AI-native cloud providers and enterprises.
Why crypto markets are paying attention
Bitcoin mining stocks ticked up following the announcement. Many publicly traded Bitcoin miners have pivoted portions of their GPU infrastructure toward AI workloads, essentially renting out excess compute capacity to AI companies. Decentralized compute networks, AI training marketplaces, and GPU tokenization protocols all gain narrative momentum when Nvidia demonstrates that the world cannot build AI data centers fast enough.
What this means for investors
A 75% year-over-year increase in data center revenue, on a base that was already enormous, suggests hyperscalers and enterprises are still in the early-to-middle innings of their AI buildouts.
Third, the sheer scale of Nvidia’s revenue growth sets a benchmark that other AI-adjacent investments will be measured against. A $193.7 billion annual data center business from Nvidia makes vaporware harder to sell with a straight face.
