OKX Card purchase volume jumps 280% across Europe
Transactions rose 178% as customers increasingly used the crypto linked card for groceries, transport and fuel.
OKX Card purchase volume across Europe increased 280% year over year this summer, while transactions rose 178%, according to data released by the crypto exchange Wednesday.
The growth was driven increasingly by everyday spending categories including groceries, transport and fuel.
Across Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and France, the number of monthly users purchasing groceries with the OKX Card increased 65% between February and July.
Growth accelerated between May and July, when grocery users increased 221% and customers spending on transport and fuel rose 263%.
Purchase volumes grew even faster over the same period. Grocery spending increased 482%, while transport and fuel spending climbed 530%.

Poland showed the highest concentration of everyday spending, with groceries, transport and utilities accounting for 31.7% of OKX Card purchases. The categories represented 22.2% in the Netherlands, 20.4% in Germany and 14.1% in France.
OKX said broader crypto card adoption is also accelerating, with industrywide purchase volume reaching a record $759 million in July.
Customers can fund their OKX Pay accounts with fiat, eligible stablecoins or crypto and spend through the Mastercard network.
The company also offers eligible users cashback of between 2% and 10% on purchases, alongside rewards on selected subscriptions.
