Oracle reports faster recruiting and engineering work with OpenAI tools
An OpenAI case study lists 130,000 active ChatGPT users and more than 95,000 Codex users at Oracle.
Oracle says it has shortened recruiting research and engineering workflows using ChatGPT Work and Codex, according to an OpenAI case study published October 8.
The case study lists 130,000 active ChatGPT users and more than 95,000 active Codex users at Oracle. OpenAI reports a 98% reduction in the time required for talent acquisition research.
Oracle talent acquisition chief Jan Ackerman said a tool that analyzes job descriptions, compensation and talent availability reduced preparation from two to four days to about 15 to 20 minutes.
Oracle Applications Lab uses an internal model of business objects and rules to help Codex convert plain-language requests into SQL queries and retrieve reports. Group Vice President Richard Lam said site reliability engineers also use Codex to gather incident context and identify playbooks.

Lam emphasized that people remain responsible for system architecture, security and maintainable code. The reported gains are company claims presented in the vendor’s case study.
