Strive buys additional 147 Bitcoin, increasing total to 20,167 BTC
Vivek Ramaswamy's asset management firm now holds roughly $1.3 billion in Bitcoin, cementing its place among the largest public corporate holders.
Strive, the asset management firm co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, scooped up another 147 Bitcoin between August 3 and August 7, pushing its total stash to 20,167 BTC. The company paid an average price of roughly $64,812 per coin for the latest batch, according to its 8-K filing.
That puts the total value of Strive’s Bitcoin treasury at approximately $1.3 billion.
From asset manager to Bitcoin treasury machine
Strive’s transformation from a traditional asset manager into one of the largest public corporate Bitcoin holders traces back to its all-stock merger with Semler Scientific in September 2025. That deal roughly doubled its Bitcoin holdings overnight, taking the count from about 5,000 BTC to around 10,900 BTC.
Since then, the buying hasn’t slowed. The company picked up 1,109 BTC in May 2026, followed by 2,500 BTC in June. July brought smaller additions of 79 BTC and 21 BTC. Then came 20 BTC at the start of August, followed immediately by this latest 147 BTC tranche.
The company now ranks as the seventh largest public corporate Bitcoin holder globally.

One detail worth noting: while the latest coins were acquired at roughly $64,812 each, Strive’s average acquisition price across all purchased BTC sits at approximately $94,700 per coin, according to some trackers.
The financial picture behind the buying spree
The company has completely retired all debt and maintains cash reserves of nearly $155 million. Strive issues a preferred stock called SATA that pays daily dividends, backed by its treasury assets. Having no debt and meaningful cash reserves ensures those dividend obligations don’t become a liability if Bitcoin prices swing violently in either direction.
Strive manages nearly $3 billion in assets under management. In Q2 2026, the company reported a Bitcoin yield between 23.9% and 24%. For the first half of the year, that figure reached 38%. Bitcoin yield measures the percentage change in the ratio of Bitcoin holdings to diluted shares outstanding.
Strive operates a Bitcoin treasury dashboard and has openly advocated for broader corporate adoption of Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
For investors weighing exposure to Strive’s stock (NASDAQ: ASST), with 20,167 BTC on the books, the company’s debt-free balance sheet and $155 million cash reserve provide downside protection alongside its Bitcoin holdings.
