Tether posted approximately $1.5 billion in net operating profit during the second quarter of 2026, supported mainly by returns from its US Treasury portfolio and repo operations, according to the company’s BDO attestation released on Friday.

During the quarter, Tether cut secured lending by about $2.4 billion and expanded its physical gold reserves by 14 tons to more than 146 tons. The company said its reserve portfolio withstood sharp market swings in both gold and Bitcoin, ending the quarter with approximately $5.8 billion worth of Bitcoin.
