Tokenized stocks hit $3.96 billion in weekend DEX volume, up 106x since November
On-chain equities are turning Saturdays and Sundays into trading days as decentralized exchanges absorb demand Wall Street leaves on the table
Tokenized stocks generated $3.96 billion in weekend trading volume on decentralized exchanges in September. That figure is 106 times higher than it was in November.
Tokenized stocks are blockchain tokens designed to track the price of a traditional share, ones that can move through crypto infrastructure at any hour. Because DEXs never close, those tokens can change hands on a Sunday morning.
Over the Labor Day weekend, tokenized stocks generated more than $1 billion in volume. That’s comparable to what the category does on a regular trading day.
One September snapshot recorded roughly $2.95 billion in weekend volume inside a broader 30-day total of $15.75 billion.
From rounding error to real market share
Tokenized stocks went from around 0.1% of DEX spot volume at the end of 2025 to more than 4% in 2026.
The active market capitalization for tokenized equities reached approximately $4 billion in September 2026. That’s a 314% increase year to date.
Total value locked for tokenized equities rose from $21.6 million in January to $289 million by September.

Monthly trading volume estimates ranged between $7.9 billion and $18 billion as of late 2026. Cumulative DEX volume over recent periods was estimated at between $15.9 billion and $20.9 billion. Depending on which metric you pick, year-over-year growth could fall anywhere from 10,000% to 30,000%.
Who’s running the venues
The main issuers are bStocks on BNB Chain, xStocks on Solana, and on-chain offerings from Robinhood. Trading runs through Uniswap (both v3 and v4), Raydium and PancakeSwap.
In one 30-day reporting period, Uniswap handled around 60% of volume, about $12.6 billion of a $20.9 billion total.
BNB Chain’s bStocks product frequently led DEX volume and captured more than 90% during peak periods, with approximately 58,000 daily active traders.
Uniswap v4 introduced permissioned pools, which let pool operators restrict who can trade.
What this means for traders and the market
Tokenized equities are now competing in stature with meme coins inside DeFi, but they remain far behind the trillions of dollars in global equities. A roughly $4 billion market cap is substantial for an on-chain category and tiny next to the stocks it tracks.
Liquidity is split across BNB Chain, Solana and Ethereum-based venues, plus multiple issuers. The same company’s stock can exist as several different tokens with different structures.
TVL growth from $21.6 million to $289 million in locked capital suggests users are building positions and providing liquidity, not just flipping tokens on a Saturday.
