Tron Inc. buys TRX for 252 consecutive days, holding 716.8M tokens
Justin Sun's Nasdaq-listed treasury company keeps buying TRX daily under an $18 million dollar-cost averaging plan
Most New Year’s resolutions are dead by February. Tron Inc.’s is still going strong in October.
The Nasdaq-listed company, which trades under the ticker TRON, has bought TRX every day for 252 consecutive days as of October 1, 2026. That streak has pushed its treasury to more than 716.8 million tokens.
The plan is simple and very public. It is a structured, daily buying program for the native token of the TRON blockchain, the network founded by Justin Sun. Every purchase is posted on the company’s official X account.
How the daily buying machine works
The purchases follow an $18 million agreement with BGDL. Under that agreement, Tron Inc. buys roughly $50,000 worth of TRX each day over a 360-day window. The program began on January 22, 2026.
Daily buys have ranged from about 145,000 to 180,000 TRX. Prices during the stretch have hovered between roughly $0.30 and $0.345 per token.
Take September 21 as an example. On that day, the company bought 145,047 TRX at an average price of about $0.3447. The treasury has grown steadily along the way. Back in February 2026, Tron Inc. held around 677.5 million TRX. It now sits above 716.8 million.

From merch shop to crypto treasury
Tron Inc. did not start life as a crypto company. It used to be SRM Entertainment, a merchandise business. The rebrand to Tron Inc. took effect on July 17, 2025.
Around that pivot, the company raised capital and came out of the gate holding more than 365 million TRX. Its legacy merchandise operations did not vanish. They continue to run as a subsidiary under the new corporate umbrella.
Justin Sun sits close to the center of the whole arrangement. He serves as a strategic investor and adviser through entities including Black Anthem Limited, which made an $18 million equity investment in the company that closed in January 2026.
The company refers to its token holdings as Tron DAT, short for digital asset treasury. The stated goal is to build that treasury and, in turn, enhance shareholder value. The company has also signaled that it intends to stake its assets where possible to earn yield.
What this means for TRX and corporate treasuries
By the research’s account, the strategy makes Tron Inc. the largest corporate holder of TRX in the public market. For shareholders, the stock increasingly behaves less like a merchandise company and more like a wrapper around a TRX position.
The transparency piece deserves credit. Posting every purchase publicly lets anyone track the treasury in near real time.
The clock is the other thing to watch. The BGDL agreement covers 360 days starting January 22, 2026, and the streak sits at 252 days as of October 1. That leaves a little over three months on the current plan.
