Chainlink expands APAC Equities Streams to cover over $40 trillion in Asian markets

The oracle network now streams price data from six exchanges across China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong
Chainlink has widened its APAC Equities Streams to span five Asian markets: China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Combined, those equity markets represent over $40 trillion.
The expansion, announced on November 3, 2026, turns a two-exchange product into a six-exchange one.
What Chainlink actually added
The original APAC Equities Streams launched on June 22, 2026. At that point, it covered only two venues: Japan’s Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) and South Korea’s KRX.
That first version gave developers access to data on names like Samsung and SK Hynix.
The update fills in the map. Coverage now includes the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), and the Hong Kong Exchange (HKEX).
That brings the total to six exchanges: KRX, TSE, SSE, SZSE, TWSE, and HKEX. Chainlink’s own documentation now lists all six as “Available.”
The feeds focus on heavyweight companies in technology and consumer goods. TSMC, Tencent, and BYD are among the names highlighted.
Each stream delivers three main things. There are low-latency mid prices, bid and ask data, and market status indicators showing conditions during each exchange’s trading hours.

The data is quoted in local currencies rather than converted into a single base currency.
Under the hood, the streams use Chainlink’s RWA Advanced (v11) schema.
One limitation is built in. The streams run only during standard exchange trading hours, so when Shanghai or Tokyo closes for the day, so does the feed.
Integrations are already live. Lighter, Jupiter Exchange, and Predict.fun are using the streams for on-chain equity markets and related products.
How Chainlink got here
This is the third step in a fairly tidy sequence. In January 2026, Chainlink launched 24/5 US Equities Streams, giving on-chain apps around-the-clock weekday pricing for American stocks.
Japan and South Korea followed in June. Now, five months later, the rest of the region’s major exchanges have joined.
The broader goal is to move traditional asset pricing onto blockchain networks. That pricing is meant to support financial products including derivatives and tokenized assets, the category the industry calls real-world assets, or RWAs.
What this means for on-chain markets
The most immediate effect is on the builders. Platforms that want to list products tied to Asian equities now have a common data source covering six exchanges, rather than stitching together feeds market by market.
The trading-hours constraint deserves attention. Crypto markets never sleep, but Asian stock exchanges do, and on-chain products built on these feeds will need sensible rules for what happens when the data stops updating overnight or on holidays.
That is where the market status indicators earn their keep. A derivatives platform that knows an exchange is closed can pause liquidations or adjust pricing rather than acting on stale numbers.
The contrast with the US product is worth noting. American equities got 24/5 coverage, while the APAC streams currently stick to standard session hours.
