Chainlink achieves SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, ISO 27001 certification
Chainlink becomes the only oracle platform holding all three institutional-grade security credentials simultaneously, clearing a key compliance hurdle for banks and asset managers
Chainlink Labs has completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination conducted by Deloitte & Touche LLP, covering its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Data Feeds services. The attestation, finalized on April 21, 2026, makes Chainlink the only data and interoperability oracle platform to hold SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 1, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications at the same time.
The scope of the SOC 2 Type 2 examination spans Chainlink’s core product suite: Price Feeds, SmartData, and CCIP. The examination was conducted following AICPA attestation standards, with focus areas of security, availability, and confidentiality controls.
This latest milestone builds on groundwork laid in August 2025, when Chainlink obtained its ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and SOC 2 Type 1 attestation. The Type 1 report evaluated whether controls were properly designed at a single point in time. The Type 2 report, completed roughly eight months later, goes further by assessing whether those controls operated effectively over a sustained period.
Chainlink already counts Swift, Euroclear, JPMorgan, UBS, and Fidelity International among the institutions incorporating its services. Each of these organizations operates under stringent compliance requirements, and these certifications provide the kind of documented assurance their risk and compliance teams demand.
Chainlink’s CCIP has facilitated approximately $90 million in average weekly token transfers, while Chainlink oracles collectively support over $28 trillion in cumulative transaction value.
LINK’s price action in the immediate aftermath remained relatively flat, reflecting broader market conditions rather than any certification-specific sentiment.
