Missing figures stay unavailable. Forward P/E requires a dated source. Annual revenue, revenue growth, net income and margin come from each company's own 10-K, in US dollars, and each row shows that fiscal year. Revenue growth compares the fiscal year with the prior year stated in the same 10-K. Net income is the full year amount attributable to the company, or available to common stockholders where the filing states only that, or consolidated net income. Each row names its basis. Trailing P/E reads "Not meaningful" when the dated trailing diluted EPS is a loss or zero. An operating margin appears only when the filing states both the operating income and the revenue for the same year.
Sources: SEC filings, Gloria daily closes and CoinGecko. Oldest record refresh: Oct 29, 2026, 12:56 PM EDT. Refresh is not a price or filing date. Each row shows its price date and its annual fiscal period. Peers use industry code and company size, or editorial selection. Market cap multiplies that row price by the company share total the latest SEC filing states for every share class together. Trailing P/E divides it by trailing diluted earnings from SEC filings. Rolled earnings per share are approximate because share counts can change between periods. Both appear only when the SEC data carries its date, so they are estimates at one price date, not synchronized filing valuations. Not investment advice.

Google Cloud just posted the kind of growth number usually reserved for startups with a slide deck and a dream. Revenue jumped 103% year over year to $30.71 billion in the third quarter of 2026, according to Alphabet’s results released on October 28.
Investors responded by selling the stock. Alphabet shares fell more than 6% in after-hours trading, because the bill for all that AI demand arrived in the same envelope.
The numbers behind the doubling
Wall Street was already expecting a big quarter. Analysts had penciled in roughly 95% growth and revenue of approximately $29.57 billion for the cloud unit.
Google Cloud cleared both marks. The company credited demand for its AI infrastructure, its AI solutions and its custom tensor processing units, or TPUs.
TPUs are Google’s homegrown chips built specifically for machine learning workloads.
CEO Sundar Pichai kept his summary short and to the point.
“Google Cloud revenues grew 103%, powered by huge demand for our AI infrastructure and AI solutions.”
The broader company also had a solid quarter. Alphabet’s total revenue rose 25% to $127.6 billion, and operating income came in at $40.58 billion.
Pichai also pointed to strong momentum in AI-driven products, tied to a half-trillion-dollar annual revenue run rate.

Where the cash went
Alphabet’s free cash flow dropped to negative $9.07 billion. Analysts had expected something close to zero, so the miss was not a rounding error.
The culprit is capital expenditure. Alphabet has set its 2026 capex guidance in a range of $195–205 billion, aimed at expanding the capacity it needs to keep up with AI workloads.
How we got here
The acceleration has been steep. Google Cloud’s average quarterly growth rates sat in the mid-20s percent range in early 2025, before climbing to 103% in this latest quarter.
Google Cloud remains the third-largest cloud provider globally, behind Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
The division has landed multi-year contracts across cybersecurity, retail and financial services.
Google Cloud’s backlog, which tracks long-term contractual commitments, stood at approximately $514 billion as of mid-2026.
What this means
For Alphabet shareholders, the quarter frames a classic trade-off. The top line is proving that AI demand is real and paying, while the cash flow statement shows just how expensive it is to serve that demand.
The after-hours drop of more than 6% signals that investors are watching cash generation as closely as growth. A beat on revenue was not enough to offset a free cash flow figure that came in well below expectations.
AI-related spending among hyperscalers in 2026 is projected to exceed $700 billion, which means Amazon and Microsoft are building aggressively as well.
