Juventus agrees to personal terms with striker Alexander Sørloth
The Italian giants are negotiating a transfer fee with Atletico Madrid while locking in a four-year deal worth roughly €4 million per season
Juventus has reached a personal agreement with Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth and is preparing to submit a fresh bid to Atletico Madrid. The deal represents Juventus’ most concrete move yet to replace Dusan Vlahović, whose contract has expired, leaving a significant hole in the club’s attacking lineup.
The proposed contract runs through 2029 or 2030, spanning four years, with an annual salary of approximately €4 million net plus bonuses. For a player who bagged 20 goals last season while mostly coming off the bench at Atletico, that’s a fairly reasonable price tag on the wage front.
The gap between buyer and seller
Atletico Madrid is reportedly holding firm at around €35 million for the transfer fee. Juventus wants to bring that number down to €30 million or lower.
One interesting wrinkle in the negotiations involves midfielder Nico González, who could potentially be included as part of a swap arrangement. If González heads in the opposite direction, it could bridge the valuation gap without either side technically budging on their headline number.
Why Sørloth, and why now
With Vlahović’s contract having expired, manager Luciano Spalletti has a genuine void at the top of his formation. Spalletti has reportedly signaled his approval of Sørloth as the man to fill it.
Sørloth’s 20-goal season at Atletico is particularly impressive when you factor in that he achieved most of that production in a substitute role. Juventus wants its new striker bedded into the system well before the 2026 FIFA World Cup disrupts the calendar.
What this means for the Juventus Fan Token
The Juventus Fan Token ($JUV) lives on the Chiliz blockchain. $JUV has shown no recent activity directly linked to the Sørloth negotiations.
The transfer still needs to be finalized between the two clubs, and that €5 million gap in valuation is real. But with personal terms already agreed and a new bid incoming, investors and fans should keep an eye on whether the Nico González swap element materializes, as that would signal both clubs are finding creative ways to get the deal across the line.
