About WEMIX
WEMIX is a Layer 1 blockchain ecosystem built for gaming, digital assets, and tokenized services. It was founded by WEMADE TREE, a subsidiary of the South Korean game company WEMADE, in 2018. The entity is now known as Wemix PTE. LTD. The WEMIX3.0 mainnet launched on 20 October 2022. The network is EVM-compatible and runs on SPoA (Stake-based Proof of Authority) consensus, where a limited set of authority nodes called WONDERS, or Node Council Partners, stake WEMIX to validate transactions. The native token is WEMIX, used to pay gas fees, participate in staking, and exercise governance rights. Its primary real-world use is blockchain gaming and in-ecosystem payments through the WEMIX PLAY platform. The maximum supply of WEMIX is permanently capped at 590 million tokens, with total supply near 560 million and circulating supply near 499 million as of 2025.
