A post on X says Meta is developing a physical embodiment of Muse and already working on version 2.0, though neither has been publicly detailed

Meta is reportedly building a humanoid version of Muse, its personal AI agent, according to a post circulating on X.

The same post claims Meta is already working on version 2.0. That is a fast pace for a product that only launched in September.

The report has not been confirmed. As of late October 2026, Meta has not publicly detailed a humanoid robot version of Muse or a formal “version 2.0” of the agent.

What Muse is, and where it lives today

Meta launched Muse on September 8, 2026, for users in the US. It arrived on iOS, Android and the muse.ai web platform.

Adoption was quick. Muse climbed to the top of app charts and collected millions of downloads.

Muse is not a chatbot that waits for you to type. Meta built it as a proactive agent that can handle errands like sending emails, shopping and booking things on your behalf.

To keep that from getting messy, Meta runs those tasks inside a secure virtual machine. Meta has framed the setup as a privacy-conscious design choice.

Then came Connect 2026, held September 23-24. Meta used the event to stack new features onto Muse.

The additions included real-time digital avatars and integration with Meta’s smart glasses.

The bigger hardware news was the Muse Charm. It is a small keychain-style device built specifically for talking to the agent.

According to the research findings, the Charm packs an approximately 2-inch touchscreen, voice activation, cameras and standalone 5G connectivity. Voice interaction is tied to fingerprint sensors. The device is set to ship in December 2026.

The model treadmill behind the agent

Meta shipped Muse Spark 1.3 on September 2, 2026, just days before the consumer launch. By October 12, 2026, it had moved on to the Muse Wonder series.

The Wonder models are aimed at improving agentic performance, making Muse better at completing multi-step tasks on its own rather than just answering questions.

Why a body changes the stakes

Meta has positioned Muse within its larger push toward what it calls personal superintelligence, tied closely to device integration.

The research notes that Meta is still navigating challenges around privacy and reliability across its tech offerings.

The Muse Charm already carries cameras. A humanoid would presumably see far more of a user’s life.

What to watch

For now, the humanoid Muse and version 2.0 sit in the reported-but-unconfirmed column. Meta has not laid out a public rollout plan for either.

The more concrete near-term milestone is the Muse Charm, which is slated to ship in December 2026.
