Missing figures stay unavailable. Forward P/E requires a dated source. Annual revenue, revenue growth, net income and margin come from each company's own 10-K, in US dollars, and each row shows that fiscal year. Revenue growth compares the fiscal year with the prior year stated in the same 10-K. Net income is the full year amount attributable to the company, or available to common stockholders where the filing states only that, or consolidated net income. Each row names its basis. Trailing P/E reads "Not meaningful" when the dated trailing diluted EPS is a loss or zero. An operating margin appears only when the filing states both the operating income and the revenue for the same year.
Sources: SEC filings, Gloria daily closes and CoinGecko. Oldest record refresh: Oct 28, 2026, 4:56 PM EDT. Refresh is not a price or filing date. Each row shows its price date and its annual fiscal period. Peers use industry code and company size, or editorial selection. Market cap multiplies that row price by the company share total the latest SEC filing states for every share class together. Trailing P/E divides it by trailing diluted earnings from SEC filings. Rolled earnings per share are approximate because share counts can change between periods. Both appear only when the SEC data carries its date, so they are estimates at one price date, not synchronized filing valuations. Not investment advice.

Micron Technology just crammed the equivalent of four memory sticks into one. The company announced the world’s first 512GB DDR5 RDIMM on September 15, a server memory module that achieves its capacity through vertical stacking of DRAM dies connected by through-silicon vias, a fancy way of saying the chips are built upward rather than outward. No extra physical space required on the server board.
Volume production is slated for the second half of 2027, timed to coincide with next-generation server platforms from AMD and Intel. Both chipmakers are reportedly validating Micron’s design.
What the numbers actually mean
The new module supports a maximum transfer rate of 9,200 MT/s. In a fully loaded dual-socket server configuration with 24 slots, that translates to up to 12TB of DDR5 memory.
Each 512GB module draws just 16W of power. The four 128GB modules it replaces collectively consume 44.2W, making the new RDIMM more than 60% more power-efficient for the same total capacity.
Micron also claims performance improvements beyond raw capacity. The company presented evidence showing up to a 1.4x efficiency increase for certain Spark SVM analytics workloads compared to existing 256GB DDR5 setups.

Why this matters for the AI infrastructure buildout
The target applications tell the story clearly: AI workloads, in-memory databases, and high-density virtualization. Traditional approaches to scaling server memory involved simply adding more sticks to more slots. Micron’s vertical stacking approach achieves higher density without requiring motherboard redesigns.
The competitive and market picture
Micron’s shares ticked up roughly 1.2% to 1.4% following the announcement, a modest but notable move given that the broader market was trending downward at the time.
The validation from AMD and Intel adds credibility that extends beyond marketing. Server OEMs need confidence that new memory modules will work reliably with upcoming processor architectures before they commit to platform designs.
One wildcard worth watching: the second-half 2027 production timeline is described as pending customer demand and validation. In semiconductor terms, that’s standard language, but it also means the schedule could shift if either AMD or Intel delays their respective platform launches.
