OpenAI seeks at least $30 billion at $1.4 trillion valuation: Report

The AI giant last raised $122 billion in March at an $852 billion valuation, including the funding.

OpenAI is looking to raise at least $30 billion at a valuation of about $1.4 trillion, potentially lifting the AI company above Anthropic’s latest private valuation, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The fundraising is in its early stages and is being driven by investor demand, according to people familiar with the matter.

The funding would provide OpenAI with additional capital as it delays an IPO that Altman said will not happen this year. The company is also facing rising AI safety scrutiny while expanding its AI agent products and premium subscription offerings.
