Phantom to end Sui support on September 24
After September 24, Phantom will stop displaying Sui balances and processing Sui transactions, and Sui will disappear from its network list.
Phantom and Sui have decided to discontinue Sui support in Phantom on September 24, according to a new statement. The wallet will no longer support Sui balances, transactions, swaps, or Sui-based app interactions after the transition date.
The change does not affect ownership of users’ funds. Sui assets remain onchain and can still be accessed by restoring the same wallet credentials in another Sui-compatible wallet.
Before the deadline, Phantom users holding Sui assets can either convert them to assets on a supported network or move their wallet to an application that continues to support Sui.
Phantom is offering fee-free cross-chain swaps from native SUI to wrapped SUI on Solana until the transition date, excluding applicable network and exchange fees. SUI can also be swapped for supported assets such as SOL, ETH, or USDC, although normal fees apply.

Once the transition takes effect, Sui will disappear from Phantom’s network list, Sui balances will no longer be displayed, and Sui transactions will no longer be supported.
As noted by Phantom, users who miss the transition date do not lose their funds and can restore the wallet through a compatible app later. Sui app connections made through Phantom will likewise need to be reconnected through the replacement wallet.
The move comes as Sui’s total value locked has plunged from $2.6 billion in October 2025 to about $462 million as of August 23, a decline of 82%, per DefiLlama. Still, Phantom said both sides remain open to working together on future collaborations.
