Pinterest integrates Amazon Storefronts to boost creator earnings
Creators can now link their Amazon Storefronts directly to Pinterest profiles, complete with automatic affiliate links and in-app checkout.
Pinterest just made it significantly easier for creators to make money without leaving the platform. The company rolled out support for linking Amazon Storefronts to creator profiles starting March 3, 2026, turning Pinterest boards into something closer to shoppable catalogs with built-in affiliate commissions.
The integration lets creators display their linked Amazon Storefronts directly on their Pinterest profiles, tag products using an Amazon-specific filter, and earn affiliate commissions automatically on relevant Pins. Users can even complete purchases without ever leaving Pinterest.
How the integration actually works
Creators with business accounts can link their Amazon Storefronts through their profile settings. Once connected, an Amazon-specific product filter becomes available, making it straightforward to tag products in Pins. The system automatically applies affiliate links to relevant Pins, which means creators don’t need to manually generate and insert tracking URLs for every product recommendation they make.
Automatic affiliate disclosures are also baked into Pins that feature linked Storefront products.
The in-platform checkout feature allows Pinterest users to buy products without navigating to Amazon’s website or app.
The rollout is gradual, with only select accounts having access to the feature initially.
Why this matters for the creator economy
The integration also creates a new competitive dynamic among social platforms. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube have all invested heavily in shopping features and creator monetization tools over the past several years. Pinterest pairing directly with Amazon rather than building its own end-to-end commerce stack is a different strategic bet, positioning itself as the top of the funnel for the world’s largest online retailer.
It’s worth noting explicitly that this integration has no blockchain, web3, or cryptocurrency component. Pinterest and Amazon are keeping this squarely in the traditional e-commerce lane.
