Solana’s monthly active programs top 8,400 in September, per onchain data
Builder activity, funded wallets and app revenue all climbed together on Solana last month, though not every tracker agrees on the program count
Solana just had a busy month on the developer side. Data shared on X shows the network’s monthly unique active programs climbed past 8,400 in September, a figure described as a new record.
Programs are Solana’s version of smart contracts: the code behind every swap, bridge, bot and game on the chain.
The numbers behind the build-out
Funded wallets on Solana rose 38.5% month-over-month to 16.1 million. A funded wallet holds a balance, which separates it from the abandoned addresses that pad most user counts.
Daily active stablecoin addresses reached 888,000, a 269% increase year-over-year.
Monthly app revenue on Solana reached $180 million in September, a nine-month high. Daily revenue peaked at $7.935 million on September 12.

That $180 million represented 32% of total blockchain app revenue for the month.
Who is actually using all those programs
The largest single category was arbitrage and sandwich bots, with 877 active programs. Behind the bots came DeFi applications at 315 programs, bridges at 288, gaming and casino programs at 222, and swap protocols at 168. Standout names included the Pump.fun AMM and Jupiter Aggregator v6.
Not every dashboard counts the same way
The headline figure deserves some context. Separate data shared by SolanaFloor put Solana’s September monthly active programs at 7,699, which it described as the highest level since August 2025 rather than an all-time high.
Of roughly 42,500 programs deployed on Solana, only about 3,118 showed sustained user interaction during the period, according to the same research.
