Chainlink brings DeFi data infrastructure to Stellarās $4B tokenized asset market
The companies said the integration could help expand the utility of existing tokenized assets and encourage further growth in users and capital.
Stellar, which provides a blockchain designed for payments and financial services, has integrated Chainlink’s oracle services to support DeFi growth across its $4 billion-plus real-world asset ecosystem, giving developers access to market data for lending, trading and collateral management, the companies said Wednesday.
The move means that Chainlink’s Data Feeds and Data Streams are now live on the Stellar network, providing smart contracts with the external market information needed to support financial applications.
Data Feeds can supply prices for collateral valuation, loan-to-value ratios and liquidation mechanisms, while Data Streams offer low-latency pricing designed for trading platforms and derivatives markets that require more timely data. These services could support new DeFi applications, from lending markets and perpetual futures to prediction markets and stablecoin protocols.
The launch could help developers make greater use of the more than $4 billion in tokenized RWAs already hosted on Stellar, according to the announcement.

Chainlink said the availability of its oracle infrastructure removes a key obstacle to developing financial applications on Stellar, supporting functions such as collateral processing, loan-to-value calculations, automated liquidations and stablecoin reference rates. Chainlink’s infrastructure has supported tens of trillions of dollars in onchain transaction value and secured the majority of DeFi.
“The Stellar network’s adoption of Chainlink as its data infrastructure unlocks a new generation of DeFi and tokenized asset applications across its ecosystem. With Data Feeds and Data Streams now available natively, developers have the high-quality, reliable market data needed to build secure lending markets, stablecoins, and tokenized assets and scale them for widespread adoption,” Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, commented.
Several ecosystem applications have adopted the services at launch. Raja Chakravorti of the Stellar Development Foundation said reliable data and connectivity would help institutional-scale financial markets develop on the network.
The deployment follows Stellar’s participation in the Chainlink Scale program, which involves a capital commitment from Stellar to provide developers with cost-efficient access to Chainlink’s enterprise-grade data infrastructure.
